Welcome to the Second Deleted Scenes exhibition.

 

 

Deleted Scenes honors lost technologies that revolutionized our way of thinking, working, and playing. These objects influenced the future in a variety of ways, from the leading industry titans in pop culture to the typical household. inspiring the future in more ways than one.

This year, 2026, we're celebrating the Nintendo Game Boy and its impact on '90s culture. 

Each of the 21 artists is handed a Nintendo Game Boy shell to use as their canvas to create a piece of work that will be exhibited in the live exhibition, and the same work will be exhibited. Additionally, artists can submit in the format of artwork or music for the exhibition.

The exhibition will be held in Birmingham in October 2026. More information on location and date soon.

 

 

 

Brief

Create your own Deleted Boy scene from the Nintendo Game Boy era of gaming, from 1989 to when the last Game Boy game was produced in 2001.

You can choose any Nintendo Game Boy game or IP to use as inspiration or anything that inspires you about the Game Boy.

 

Your canvas will be the Nintendo Game Boy shell in the pack you have received; you can paint on it or take it apart to create a diorama—go crazy.

 

1. The most important guidelines are to have fun with your piece.

 

2. No gore; nothing offensive and nothing derogatory. The exhibition and online exhibition will be viewed by all ages.

 

3. Enjoy your item and the explorer' endless possibilities.
